Smoothie Bowls

Smoothie Bowls are pretty, simple, and fun to make as a morning meal or late night dessert. I personally admire the rich color and bursting flavors in each bite. I discovered that adding granola is like adding icing to a cake. It just goes perfectly with fresh fruit and smoothies. It makes the meal so much more fulfilling. If you don’t have granola, add plain ole rolled oats, which is full of fiber and protein!

This smoothie bowl above was prepared when I was in a rush on the way to work. You can’t see the smoothie on the bottom. However, it consisted of the following:

  • 1 frozen banana, 1 ripe banana
  • blackberries
  • cranberries
  • chia seeds
  • dates

What’s on top?:

  • Fuji apple
  • pineapple
  • red grapes
  • cantaloupe
  • muesli

The smoothie bowl above was thick and nutritious. It was the type of meal that  had to eat slowly to savor every bite. The first images of the fruit and vegetables in the blender were made 1.10.17. The smoothie bowl was created 1.11.17. Since I made an abundant amount on the first batch, I saved the second batch for later. How convenient is that?! This smoothie consisted of the following:

  • 1 frozen banana, 1 ripe banana
  • blackberries
  • cantaloupe
  • pineapple
  • spinach
  • cranberries
  • chia seeds
  • dates
  • moringa
