Oatmeal Grape Bars

These Oatmeal Grape Bars are perfect for breakfast when you are constantly on the go. They are also perfect twist for a nice cozy evening when you are wining down in your recliner with a cup of tea.

This recipe is quite similar to my Oatmeal Craisin Bars. However, instead of using Instant Oatmeal, I actually used plain ole Whole Rolled Oats which is a healthier choice. I decided to experiment with this dish. I did not have craisins, but I had grapes. I also could not use brown sugar, so I used light agave. It’s incredible how things just comes together when I experiment. If you are looking for more of a sweet flavor, try adding grapes to your recipes. You’d be surprised. Go ahead and give this breakfast/desert dish a try!

Time: Prep – 10 min, Bake – 45 min

Grocery List:

  • 3 Bananas
  • Grapes
  • Dried Dates
  • Whole Rolled Oats
  • Almond Extract
  • Light Agave
  • Flaxseed
  • Coconut Oil
  • Naturade Vegan Smart Chocolate All-In-One Nutritional Shake Blend (optional)
  • Parchment Paper
Step #1 – Combine


  • 3 cups Whole Rolled Oats
  • 3 Ripened Bananas
  • Hand full of grapes (sliced)
  • 3 dates (sliced)
  • 2 tbsp. Almond Extract
  • 2 tbsp. Light Agave
  • 3 tbsp. Flaxseed, 3-4 tbsp. water
  • 1 tsp Coconut Oil
  • 2 tbsp. Naturade Vegan Smart Chocolate All-In-One Nutritional Shake Blend

Set aside flaxseed mixture so that it becomes a egg yoke-like consistency. Slice bananas and mash in a bowl. Combine ingredients together until a sticky consistency is formed.

I decided to give some of this a try to see if it would give some flavor.

Step #2 – Preheat Oven to 350 Degrees & Form in Pan

In a small pan add parchment paper and spread ingredients evenly.

Step #3 – Bake on 350 degrees for 45 min – 1 hour 

The texture will be soft. Allow to cool for 10 min.
