For quite some time I have been dwelling on the presence of God and how amazing He is. I’ve been thinking about eternal life and how majestic it is. I think about what Heaven is like and how the atmosphere will be when the day comes for us to finally be home. Can we just talk about the value of the Lord’s home, our future home? Can we think of that day where there will be a new Heaven and a new Earth (Rev. 21:1-8)? No more fighting, weeping, anger, hate, lust, greed, and other sins of Earth. That day where we will be able to dwell in the presence of God…forever. Imagine when you worship Him how that feeling of electricity comes upon you from your head to your feet. Imagine feeling a release to cry out because His presence is so heavily upon you. The human mind cannot fathom the presence of God. That is why when He comes upon us it only lasts for a short period of time. Imagine dwelling in that 24-7.
My view of Heaven is a home of purity; those who are not tainted in their heart. It is a place that embodies freedom, love, purity, wholeness, and royalty. It is a home for God’s creation to worship Him; a home where we will take delight in the Lord. A home that is peaceful. God’s Kingdom is so valuable. It is worth fighting for. It is worth dying for. So we who are willing to work to get into His Kingdom have given up our lives so that we may grow a relationship with God. We don’t just work to get into the Kingdom. We work to show our love for God. We get to know Him through Jesus Christ, our Savior. That is what makes us stand out from others.
From my experience, observations, and studies, Christianity is based on knowing God through Jesus Christ. There may be other religions that connect to a Higher Source through different waves and vibrations. However, in Christianity, we form a relationship with our Higher Source. We acknowledge God by many names, making our relationship personal with Him. We acknowledge that He is initially the Creator of ALL. We acknowledge and worship Him because He sent Himself to earth just to show us the way of life. He sent Himself to earth to demonstrate His love for His creation. Whether we are black or white, Buddhist or Atheist, man or woman, Jew or Gentile, God sent Himself through Jesus Christ to reveal His love for us.
God wants us all to get to know Him. He wants for us to be saved from the pit of sin. He wants us to be healed, set free, and delivered. He wants us to believe in Him and His Holy Word. He wants our worship to magnify Him. In all that we do, we point to our Father God to examine our hearts in hope that we are living up to His expectations and not man’s. We run to Him to make us whole because we know that the world cannot and does not complete us. There is nothing in this world that can satisfy our soul besides God, our Father.
As Christians, we acknowledge that God is our Father, our Shephard, our King, our Provider, our Healer, and our Restorer. We experience/encounter Him regularly in situations that are out of our control. There are many circumstances in our lives where we have seen a move of God without our own strength. Some have seen a person on their death bed raised to life. Some have seen survival after an accident that was supposed to take their life. Some have seen favor when all things looked impossible. God has proven His existence many times, yet others have continued to deny Him.
As Christians, we stand to proclaim that our God is real and that our home is not on earth. This place where we live is only temporary. This body that we live, move, and have our being in is only but a vapor. We are here today to live out our purpose. We are only vessels to demonstrate God’s abstract beauty for the sake of showing others that we all matter to Him. I encourage you today to get to know God through Jesus. Allow Him to open not only your eyes, but also your heart to His true love, beauty, and purpose beyond what you could ever imagine. Our home is soon to come. Our home awaits us in eternal life. Our home is the Kingdom of God…
Always know that you are Chosen, you are Royal, you are Holy, and you are God’s Special Possession.
He has turned your darkness into light.
