Oh Taste And See

Dealing with Forgiveness

I have been reading and reflecting this morning. For those dealing with forgiveness, please do not walk or scroll past this message. My heart goes out to those who find it difficult to forgive themseleves, someone else, or even receive forgiveness.

I have never noticed how much unforgiveness could hold someone back until I have seen it before my eyes. It is heavy on my heart for us to understand that forgiveness awaits us at any moment in time! It is our duty to let not our mistakes, our past, and our troubles hold us back from the future glory of God.

Some can have the heaviest burden of thoughts and emotions weighing them down which creates a veil or a wall that blinds them from seeing the light of forgiveness standing before their path. We have to confess our wrong doings, sins, mistakes, etc., call it out SPECIFICALLY in prayer, and BELIEVE that God has forgiven us, because we are pass that stage of our lives; we have grown and exceeded that level. This is where our relationship with Jesus falls into place. He intercedes with God for us.

Some may not agree with me, but that is okay. This is how I have found forgiveness and it truly works for me. For one to find forgiveness in spirit and understanding of the means to forgive, they must spend intimate time with the father, meditate on forgiveness, release and let go.

In your heart, you have to find the best way that will let the other individual know that you are wholeheartedly sorry; that person could even be yourself. Write a letter, poem, record your voice, make a video, etc. If they still find it hard to forgive you, then tell God about it and leave space to let it go.

I pray that we do not let our past burden us down and hold us back from seeing the grace and mercy that awaits us! Yes you’ve been there and done “that”! But DO NOT look back and turn back towards it. You are forgiven and God has peace and love in the palm of his hand. You will not move from one chapter of your life to the next until you let the baggage go…

Colossians 3:13 NIV
“Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.”

Psalm 51:1-2 NIV
“Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love; according to your great compassion blot out my transgressions. Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin.”

Have a blessed day everyone.

Always know that you are Chosen, you are Royal, you are Holy, and you are God’s Special Possession.
He has turned your darkness into light.
